Dream Big and Enjoy the Little Things
Life is a sweet meandering journey but not without its tricky bits.
We need to build enough magic in our childhood to take us through life buoyantly.
Who is the founder of MIKIKIBABY?
Hello, everyone. I'm the founder of MIKIKIBABY, Daddy Mike. My first baby was born in 2014. Being a father for the first time is great and exciting. The arrival of a child is just like a gift bringing infinite joy and surprise to our whole family. Two years later, our second baby arrived in 2016.
Like thousands of young parents, my wife and I are facing a lot of problems and decidophobia besides happiness and joy. In the process of bringing up our babies, we started searching for great toys and baby products that help develop bright, healthy, active children and encourage a balanced approach to life. I find that in today's society, high-quality companion and interaction between parents and kids are neglected and scarce, and electronic products are pervasive in eroding children's childhood in any possible ways.
What is MIKIKIBABY’s value?
Life is a sweet meandering journey but not without its tricky bits. We need to build enough magic in our childhood to take us through life buoyantly. I hope that I can affect and encourage more parents, especially dads with a sense of missing in modern families, to give children more attention and companion, with my earnest practice.
Every child is an angel, MIKIKIBABY wants to deliver good toys and products that can bring the purest companion, the most friendly interaction and the most healthy lifestyle through childhood. This is where we start our original intention of creating the brand. Hold the original will, dream big and enjoy the little things.
Where and how MIKIKIBABY starts?
I enjoy spending time with my two kids. I am always searching for toys that promote physical play, which develop problem-solving skills, encourage reading and counting, help kids role playing and using their imagination. Not surprisingly, the toys that tend to do this best are ‘low-tech’ or ‘old school’ toys, because they can help keep kids unplugged and make easier for parents to become actively involved in their child’s playtime. While searching and studying, I conceived the desire to create my brands.
Mikiki means wisdom and knowledge in Japanese; Mike is my name. I think there is high similarity and coherence between two words. Moreover, my daughter’s pronunciation of Mike at the babbling stage is just like ‘Mikiki,' so I named my brand as MIKIKIBABY hoping to incorporate a father's rational love and persistence into the brand's value.
